Arthur James Whitehouse

By 1920, the First World War was over, however, the Commonwealth War Grave Commission still commemorates those who died during the First World War.  The cut-off date during 1921, was 31st August.  Why that date?

Army Order 356 of 1921, signed on 10th August stipulated that 31st August would be defined as a date considered to be the legal termination of the war.
