Lyndon Fabian David was born in 1918 at Swansea. He was the son of Clifford Fabian David and Lily May Rosser, who were married in 1915 at St Mary’s Church, Swansea.

1921 Census

The 1921 Census records the David family residing at 13 Henrietta Street, Swansea. Clifford Fabian David (33) was employed as a Master Mariner, working for Messrs Harry Davies & Co Ltd, Colliery Agents of Burrions Chambers, Swansea. His wife Lily May (34) undertook household duties, and their only child, Lyndon (3), was living at home.

Also present in the household were William Rosser (68), Lily’s widowed father, a retired police constable formerly employed as an inspector at Swansea Public Market; Herbert Rosser (26), Lily’s brother, employed as a postman with the General Post Office, Swansea; and Herbert’s wife Jessie (24), who undertook household duties.
