The account regarding the funeral of Johnny Spall, who was
buried at Bethel Cemetery.
Sadly, there just seem to be much record regarding Johnny.
Johnny, was recorded on the 1911 Census as Jack, was born
1910.

He was the adopted son of Henry and Elizabeth Spall.
They were living at 5 Eversley Road, Sketty.
Henry, who was 49 years old, his place of birth recorded as
Suffolk. His occupation as Foreman
Quarry Man, whilst Elizabeth who was also 49 years old. Her place of birth was recorded as Hindon, Wiltshire.
Jack, who was 1 years old, and his place of birth was
recorded as Birmingham.
By the time of the 1921 Census, Jack was recorded as son of Henry
and Elizabeth.

The family were living at 2 Singleton Lodge. Henry aged 60 years. His occupation recorded as General Labourer but was Out of Work.
Elizabeth aged 58 years and Jack aged 11 years. He was in
full time education.
The following December, Elizabeth died and was buried at
Bethel. Her funeral was published in the
Herald of Wales.

Henry moved back to Suffolk, where he recorded in the 1939 Register as living at 1 Back Road, Blyth.

Henry widowed his occupation as Retired Malster. Where he died in the latter part of 1945.
