David William Resse (40) was employed as a Physician and Surgeon, and his Llanelly-born wife, Annie Maude (36), was residing with him. Their children were John Mansel (4) and Audrey Margaret (3). Also present in the household was a servant, Olive Marks (17).
Military Service
During the First World War, David William Resse
served as a Captain with the Royal Army Medical Corps, attached
to the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. In this role, he would have been
responsible for the medical care of soldiers serving in the Middle East, often
under demanding and hazardous conditions.

David William Resse died on 23rd June
1921. He is buried at SS. Margaret and Andrew Churchyard, Littleham,
