Gunner Bernard Shaw, who served with the Royal Artillery, 132 (The Glamorgan Yeomanry) Field Regiment, was 21 when he died on the 26th of November 1942. Bernard is buried at Oued Zarga War Cemetery, Tunisia.

Bernard was born after the 1921 Census was conducted. 

Bernard was the son of Percy Eustace and Catherine Shaw.

According to the 1921 Census, Percy and Catherine were living at 4 Warnsell Place.

Percy, aged 31 and born in Portsmouth, worked for Mr. Fred Ley, a Fruit & Potato Merchant in Swansea, as a Motor Lorry Driver. Catherine was 36 years old.  Their three children were

Elaine, 6; Nina, 5, and Phyllis, 1.

The South Wales Daily Post reported Bernard's death.
