Robert Williams – The Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surrey)
Private Robert Williams – The Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surrey)
Robert Williams was born in 1924 in Swansea, the son of William and Ann Elizabeth Williams. Few records survive that shed light on Robert’s early life, and unlike many of the other servicemen commemorated at Cwmgelli, his childhood does not appear in the available census material. What remains is the outline of a Swansea boy who grew up during the inter‑war years and reached adulthood as the Second World War gathered pace.Robert Williams
