Clouds­dale, of the trawler Tenby Castle, was to receive the Silver Medal of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution for his gallant conduct off the Galway coast earlier that year. The honour, the paper noted, would be presented at the Guildhall on Thursday at 3 p.m., during a lifeboat meeting presided over by the Mayor.
