Thomas Henry Morris was born in Swansea in 1881, though surviving records provide only limited detail about his early life and family background. Military Service

Thomas enlisted as a Private in the Army Service Corps, serving with No. 2 Remount Depot. The Remount Service was responsible for the procurement, training, and care of horses and mules for the British Army — an essential role in a war still heavily dependent on animal transport for artillery, supply wagons, and cavalry units. Men in the Remount Depots handled, trained, and managed large numbers of animals, ensuring they were fit for frontline or transport duties.

Death and Burial

Thomas Henry Morris died on 15 September 1918 at the Western General Hospital, Neath, one of the regional military hospitals treating soldiers suffering from illness, injury, or the long-term effects of wartime service.
