Early Life

Born in 1911 at Swansea, Thomas Henry Davies was the son of Thomas John Davies and Margaret Davies. No surviving official civilian records shed further light on his early life, leaving only his military documentation and burial entry to preserve his story.

Military Service

Thomas served as an Aircraftman 2nd Class with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, based at RAF Bridgnorth, Shropshire, where he was attached to the 15 Initial Training Wing, part of Flying Training Command. This establishment was responsible for the early training and induction of RAF personnel during the Second World War.
