Allan Charles Taylor
Allan Charles Taylor, were served with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, was killed on the 3rd of September 1943, aged 22 years.
Allan was the son of Frank Charles Taylor and Gertrude Mary Cornelius,
who were married in February 1915. Allan
was born in August 1921, after the 1921 Census was undertaken.
The only official records that Allan is named is the 1939
Register.

The Taylor family at the outbreak of the Second World War were
living at 24 Balaclava Street.
Frank, who was a Traveller selling Fruit & Potato,
whilst Gertrude undertook household duties, and Allan who employed as an
Apprentice chemist.
Allan who was a pilot who was flying an Oxford I, flight
X6813, the plane was coming into to landing at RAF Carew Cheriton,
Pembrokeshire, when it crashed into an Oxford I, flight V3976, which was taxing
into position. All five Commonwealth
airmen lost their lives in flight X6813.

The five casualties of this accident were-
RAFVR Sergeant Allan Charles TAYLOR,
RCAF Warrant Officer Wilfred James LOUDEN,
RAF Pilot Officer Herbert Glyn PRICE,
RAF Kenneth James MAY and
RAF Warrant Officer Frank LESLIE.
