Born in 1908, Herbert was the son of William Stewart Scott
and Maria Scott.
By the time of the 1911 Census, Herbert, 3 and his mother,
were boarders in the home of Edward Clancey at 9 Pinder Street, Hulme,
Manchester.

Mary, who is 29 years old is employed as a Shirt Maker,
whilst Herbert, is 3 years.
There doesn’t seem to be any further records regarding
Herbert, until 1934, when Herbert marries Lilian M. Thompson.
Ranked as a cook, Herbert, served with the Merchant Navy, on
board M.V. Hope Crown

March 1943, Herbert, aged 35, died at Hill House Isolation Hospital. His home address was 25 Grenfell Park Road, Swansea. It wouldn't be until November 1944, that Herbert's death is reported the South Wales Daily Post
