 David John Phillips

David was born in 1908, in Merthyr Tydfil, was the son of Abraham Phillips and Mary Catherine Davies.

At the time of the 1911 Census, the Davies family were living at 12 Brewery Street, Merthyr Tydfil.

Abraham, 33, was employed as a Coal Miner Hewer, Mary, 29 years.  Their children were

Hannah, 6; Margaret, 5; David John, 3, and 3-month-old Grace.

1931, David married Doris M. Pepler.

The 1939 Register David and Doris Philips were living at 28 Islwyn Road.

David’s occupation is recorded as Crane Driver – Docks.

David is buried at St. Peters, Cockett.
