Corporal Charles Urban Mantle, who served with Royal Defence Corps during the First World War.  Charles died at 7 Eastern General Hospital Cambridge on 25^th of June 1918, following his death Charles was buried at Danygraig Cemetery.

The inscription on the headstone, stated that Charles’ father, David T. Jones, died a month earlier.

The only census records that records Charles, is the 1901 Census, Charles is residing with his uncle, Joseph Rooke, at 133 Campbell Road, Coleford.
