 Reginald Brice, born in 1900, was the youngest son of John Brice and Margaret Stewart. Margaret herself was born in Australia.   

The 1901 census records the family as residing at 29 Sea View Terrace.

1901 Census

48-year-old John is employed as a Railway Porter.  Margaret is 44 years old.  Their children are

Thomas, 17; 15-year-old Robert, who is employed as an errand boy. Walter, 13; George, 8; and 1-year-old Reginald.

A decade later, the 1911 Census records that the family are residing at 2 Sea View Terrace.

John Brice, 58, is still employed as a Railway Porter. Margaret is 56 years old.  The census states that the couple had 14 children, and 7 have since died. The remaining children that are present at the property are

Walter Stewart, 23, who is employed as a Striker; George Basil, 18, who is employed as a Fuse Tester; and 12-year-old Reginald, who goes to school.

Before the First World War, Reginald was employed as a shop assistant at Messrs Stewart’s, High Street

Reginald enlisted in September 1917 and served with the East Yorkshire Regiment.

South Wales Daily Post
The South Wales Daily Post reported that Reginald died at a Newcastle Hospital, who died from the effects of pneumonia.

Reginald was buried at Danygraig Cemetery.
