5th March 1919, Timothy Lynch, who served with the Welsh Regiment, died, and he was buried at Danygraig Cemetery.

Timothy was born in 1890 and was the son of John Lynch and Margaret Screen, who were married in 1886.

The 1891 Census records that the Harris family were living at 7 Pantyglasdwe Street

37-year-old John was employed as a General Labourer, whilst Margaret was 29 years old.  Their place of birth was recorded as Merthyr.  Their children were

Hannah, 3; Timothy, 1, and 2-month-old Mary A.

The Lynch family had moved to 23 Charles Street, Greenhill, by the time the 1901 Census was recorded.

John, 43, was a Dock Labourer.  Margaret was 40 years old.  Their three children were

Hannah, 13; Timothy, 11; and 10-year-old Mary A.

In 1910, married Susannah Morgans.

The following year, at the time of the 1911 Census, they were living at 1 Siloh Road, Landore.  The home of Susannah’s parents.

Timothy, 22, was employed as a Tin Working Labourer.  Susannah was 20 years old.  Two children were born later, Dalys in 1912 and Mary Ann in 1915.

On the 14th of November 1914, Timothy enlisted with the Welsh Regiment.   Sadly, Timothy was discharged in November 1916 for having been unfit.  His death was reported in the South Wales Daily Post
